AndroidTutor2018- So you own a spanking new Samsung Galaxy Note 2, and feel that until it ends up rooted, the beast of a phablet in your hands remains shackled, unable to fulfill its true potential.
Well, I guess today is your lucky day then, as XDA Developer TV has a brand new episode that tells even battle hardened rooting veterans the nitty gritty when it comes to rooting your Galaxy Note 2 from Samsung. Of course, waving a magic wand around is not going to help the cause, as you will need to know what you are doing in the first place.
As always, you ought to make a backup of all your existing data and stash that backup copy somewhere safe just in case Murphy decides to drop by and screw things up on your behalf, leaving you with a potentially expensive brick along the way. It must be said that once your Galaxy Note 2 is rooted, you will be able to maximize its use by gaining access to other features.
XDA Developer TV has presented step-by-step instructions on how you are able to gain root access on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, and the model being used to showcase this process is the one from T-Mobile, alongside tools from the XDA forums. Of course, a similar process might apply to other variants, but we are not too sure just yet. Bear in mind you have to be extra careful here and look around for the exact files required for your variant on XDA-Developers.com.

I'm still surprised by the note 2s ability to handle anything thrown at it on wiz so looking forward to seeing whats still to discover with a custom rom. Never rooted a phone before ever so a bit nervous about the whole process. Do i need an internet connection on pc whilst rooting? as i tether with note 2 when i use pc online, which (internet connection) will be unavailable during rooting, thanks guys!

awesome tutorial now my galaxy note is 10x better! I was a bit confused getting into download mode so i did some side research on youtube and found this pretty straightforward guide on how to do it

@Dvoraak - Yes I know about the sister sites. I find his how to's very helpful.
Like Dvoraak mentioned already above if you have a galaxy device like a S3 you should check out the sister sites for example galaxys3root.com and galaxys2root.com and of course galaxynote2root.com.
Have a fun time rooting everyone and please please folow the instructions carefully so you don't mess up your phone and also please for the love of god remember to make a nandroid back up as soon as your done rooting especially if your going to install custom roms. You should be able to find all the instructions and videos on how to do these things on the sites above for your phones so go have some fun.

I got al my help rooting my note 2 over at galaxynote2root.com plus they have al other kind of helpful tips like how to make back ups and how to instal costum roms and if necessary how to unroot/unbrick your note 2. Plus they al come with excellent written and video instructions so they are great for the person who might be new to rooting and using custom roms.
