AndroidTutor2018- The OnePlus 3T has pretty much succeeded in taking over from its older brother, the OnePlus 3. Unfortunately, like every other smartphone on the market, these two devices have not been immune to software or hardware problems. Here we look at some of the main issues that have plagued the OnePlus 3T, and give you the details on the available solutions (at least when there are available solutions!).

Deactivating GPS and rotation
Every time you activate the power saving mode on the OnePlus 3T, your GPS and rotation mode are immediately disabled. This is a problem, and sadly there are currently no solutions which will resolve the issue. For the moment, the only thing you can do is reactivate these options manually after they have been disabled.
Play Store
Have you tried to download an app whilst roaming only to find it doesn't work? OnePlus is aware of the problem, and claims that you can resolve this by following these instructions on Google Play Help and/or activating the power saving mode and resetting the Play Store options.
There is a chance that AVG AntiVirus, Paytm or Truecaller apps may block the download. You can get around this by disabling them before you download.
Contact display
Looking to call one of your contacts and noticed they are listed twice in your list? This is a known bug that (for the moment) has no solution.
Vibrate mode
Some users have been having some issues activating the vibrate mode on their devices. No need to panic, OnePlus hasn't removed this function but it is not particularly easy to find on Android Nougat.
When you switch to silent (with the notifications button), a notifications window appears at the top. On the end of the right hand-side you'll see the settings gear icon; press on this and you will be given other options. Select the "Enable vibration" option and your worries will be over.

LED charging notifications
In the settings you are able to customize the color of your LED notifications according to your apps, battery status or charging status. One of the main problems in this area is that the charging color always remains blue, no matter how you customize it. Unfortunately, for the time being, there is no solution for this particular issue. That said, you will still receive LED notifications when you are charging your device.
Launching the split screen
For many smartphones all you need to do to launch the split screen is long press the home button. This function is available on the OnePlus 3T, but it is not done by default as the key is connected to another function. All you need to do is simply go to "Settings" and scroll down to "Buttons." Go to "Recent Buttons" and select "Open/Close split screen" to "Long press."

Battery life following an update
So you've just installed an update and you get the impression that your smartphone is not as efficient as it was in the past. No need to worry, maybe it's not a bug. If the problem persists you can always leave a message on the OnePlus forum.
Touchscreen
Some OnePlus and OnePlus 3T users have written in different forums and other platforms that they have experienced latency issues when using the touchscreen. Users have noticed there is some sort of tactile lag between pressing the screen and your device reacting.
This is not a major problem in itself since the system is still fast, but there is still a noticeable difference in some situations (usually following a prolonged interaction with the screen) and does have an impact on the overall user experience. OnePlus is aware of the issue and is looking into developing a solution, so an update should come along soon to correct the problem.

Cant use the lower protion of the screen. i just bought this phone for a week. All is working well but now the lower protion of the screen is not working and i cant use the in screen navigation bar. plsss fix this bug ty

Problem with using FB app. News feeds don't scroll after showing few feeds, and then it keeps on loading & loading & loading. And despite of good internet connection, sometimes it shows network not available in Facebook app. Tried uninstalling & installing app many a times but problem still persist. I am uusing one plus 3t with oxygen 4.1.6

Oneplus 3T The lower part of the screen isnt working well. Right above the home button. Its been only a month i got this phone.the touch in space bar doesnt work well. Argh

The blue LED when charging isn't a bug. When you dash charge it is blue, you can't change that you can only change the non-dash colour. Charge without dash and the colour you selected for charging will appear. While inconvenient you can't change the dash charge colour this is not a bug.
Also the location/screen rotation being turned off in battery save mode is not an issue, it is intended and personally I like it. Location services eat battery life extremely quickly so turning it off is great.
Most of these issues aren't actually issues except for like the contacts thing, everything else seems to be on you buddy.
Bad clickbait article. 1/10.

Quite happy with my OnePlus 3T, however the update before this last one lost the quick sim data toggle switch, and I've had problems with hot spot turning itself off randomly. Not happy...Hope they fix it.

I found a workaround. Go to contact, contact to view and click on customize, then check - contact from Google account.
No more double, tripple view of.

My oneplus 3T fingerprint scanner not working properly. Now I'm on oxygen os 4.0.2. It's sometimes not responding. Add & deleted fingerprints several times but nothing improved.

I am facing 3 big issues.
1 Proximity sensor issue while attending a call opens many other apps even call goes on hold sometimes its a real trouble.
2 Power button pressed in pocket and phone turns off even if screen is locked.
3 phone heats in pocket.

Okay firstly let me start by saying I'm really impressed with the 3T in many ways, I work in the mobile industry for 21 years and have had many many phone's this was a stop gap due to breaking my Note 4. I'm more than impressed with the phone but it does have some glitches.
1) Bluetooth - seems to be a very short range on this plus skips a second or two when Bluetooth playback on Spotify or Tunein radio.
2) Chromecast/casting to TV seems to be very tempramental, working on some videos and not others, whether using standard cast or app (LocalCast/Allcast). Hit or miss.
3) slight delay in recording on 4k
4) when recording video the auto focus is more than unstable and could do with infinity mode.
5) now and again can overheat but very rare.
6) RAM can get in 60's compared to 20's upon boot and won't go all that low unless reset but with 6gb RAM that's not a massive issue just being picky.
7) Even after changing notification light for charge I agree always blue.
I'm sure I have another but can't think right now. Other than that other than S7, (might hate me for this) iPhone 7, Honor 8 or Huwaei P9/Mate 9 right now I wouldn't think if another handset....... It's a good one and price is the factor that ended up P9 or 3T.

Major issue with WhatsApp... My 4G connection is always on in India... Sometimes... The messages don't get updated automatically in whatsapp... Until n unless I open the app... As soon as I open the app there are at least 50 odd messages which gets updated which have been done in the past 2-3 hours... Look into it... Had tried it on 2 op3t sets and it was same in both... Though I returned one of the phone...

Well... Your WhatsApp problem is not the OnePlus 3/3T's fault.... That is your personal settings(notifications / delivery) at play or your data provider...

Hi, It is user/os app management setting. To save battery you might have changed app notification for whats app or deep clean option for all apps.

5.Users doesn't know how facial recognition works or if the feature really works.
